Joint Statement from ISPO and the EOG: OutDoor by ISPO Dates and Venues for 2023-2025

After the delayed return of the OutDoor show, the 2022 OutDoor by ISPO was an incredibly vibrant and successful event, and we are already looking forward to 2023. The new venue was not without its challenges, but the feedback from the trade has been overwhelmingly positive. The outdoor industry is founded on shared values and community, and we are appreciative of the decisive leadership and engagement shown by all of those who joined us this year.

Looking forward, we are committed to build on the success of this year’s show. We have listened to your feedback and are exceedingly pleased to announce that in 2023 we will be returning to the MOC for one more year. Following 2023, OutDoor by ISPO will return to Riem for 2024 and 2025 at the dates listed below.

  • OutDoor by ISPO 2023 will be held at the MOC in Munich on June 4-6.
  • Subsequently, OutDoor by ISPO will return to Riem in 2024 (June 3-5), and 2025 (May 19-21).

With the change in the venue comes a change in the dates for next year. We are aware that the new dates overlap with a few of the holidays or other key events in certain regions, but the trade has been quite clear: the venue matters, and we want to go back to the MOC. This new time slot still allows us to continue progressing the show to an earlier date as requested.

“The recent OutDoor by ISPO at the MOC made it absolutely clear that nothing can truly replace meeting in person. When we come together as an outdoor community to discuss global trends, show new products, highlight research and CSR initiatives or for networking and socialising, there is nothing as effective or efficient over a few short days. OutDoor by ISPO perfectly mirrors the EOG’s commitment to pre-competitive cooperation. These trade shows advance the association’s unique position in providing the necessary neutral platform for the outdoor industry to achieve our common vision; to do global, profitable business in a way that gives back more than we take – from nature and people.” – Mark Held, European Outdoor Group President.

As those of you who attended in June this year will recall, space in the MOC is limited and valuable – we encourage booking early to avoid disappointment. Details for booking space will be available at the end of August.

Based on your feedback, we have already begun work on numerous ways to improve the space on offer at the MOC, and to use it far more efficiently. However, we will still have less space than what we are previously accustomed to at the Messe in Riem.

“We listen closely to our customers and were really happy to hear all of the positive feedback that the industry expressed about this year’s OutDoor by ISPO. The majority of our partners and exhibitors urged us to also hold OutDoor by ISPO at the MOC in 2023 following the successful premiere. Now we look forward to seeing everybody once again at the MOC and on the outdoor areas in June 2023.” – Tobias Gröber, Executive Director Business Unit Consumergoods.

OutDoor by ISPO 2022 has decidedly shown these events are the platform for our outdoor industry to come together. As such, we strongly encourage everyone to join us in Riem in November for the next ISPO Munich event. If you were unable to join us in June and want to know what the excitement has been about, then don’t miss out this November.

We look forward to seeing you next year, back at the MOC.
