Brandnew Area: Hotspot for start-ups and the ideas of tomorrow (Hall B1)

Creativity and passion, new ideas and technologies: That’s exactly what you’ll find in the ISPO Brandnew Area, the hotspot for forward-looking innovations. Up-and-coming brands and promising start-ups present their brand-new products and ideas that have the potential to revolutionize the sports industry.

For start-ups, ISPO Brandnew is the perfect opportunity for start-ups to build a network and make valuable international contacts with decision-makers, potential customers, partners, and investors who can significantly advance their own business.

New at ISPO Munich 2023: The Start-up Speeddating on November 29 from 13:00-14:30 in the GameChanger SportsHub. The perfect opportunity to get to know several start-ups in a short time and thus discover groundbreaking ideas and technologies – that’s how efficient networking works. You want to be there? Then please register at the ISPO Brandnew booth in the Future Lab on October 28 or 29.

Together with the Founders Fight Club, ISPO Brandnew is also presenting an extraordinary and unprecedented event format this year: the Founders Fights. Under the motto „More than just a competition,” start-ups will present themselves in a completely new and exciting way, and the audience will be interactively involved. The first rounds will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday on the Pink Stage in the Brandnew Area, the highlight is the grand finale on the grand finale on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. on the Main Stage, also in Hall B1.

ISPO Award Exhibition: Award-winning innovations (Hall B1)

You can find even more innovations, new products and future trends in the Award Exhibition with the winners of the ISPO Award. The ISPO Award honors innovative sports products and services throughout the year. Four times a year, the international jury of industry professionals and consumer experts from the ISPO Collaborators Club, supported by textile and sustainability expert Louisa Smith, meet to select the best entries.

Champagne, cheers, and a party atmosphere will then take place on the Blue Stage also in Hall B1: At the ISPO Award Gatherings, the winners of this year’s ISPO Awards will be duly celebrated and the coveted trophy will be presented to all winners from 2023 – by our Award Angel Nadine Wallner herself. The Austrian freeride world champion has been on board since 2023 and represents the sports industry’s most prestigious award as an ambassador. You can also meet her in person at the Award Exhibition.

Talent Hub: For the next generation of the sports industry (Hall B1)

The future of the sports industry also includes retail trainees, students and young professionals. For them, there is the Talent Hub in the Future Lab. The area with lounge and food corner is the perfect place for networking and exchange, and exciting workshops and presentations will take place on the Yellow Stage.

The latest trends in retail technology? You can discover them at the Digitize Hub. Whether you’re a retailer or an entrepreneur, the Digitize Hub is the place-to-be that introduces you to the world of digitization.

In the interactive exhibition rooms, industry pioneers give you exciting insights into the digital landscape and companies from the fields of retail, technology and digitization show the latest trends in retail technology.

Zeitgeist by ISPO: A Platform for Sports, Fashion & Outdoor (Hall B1)

Whether high fashion or streetwear: fashion is always changing, influenced by society and urban culture, and evolving. The Zeitgeist area addresses the constantly changing trends in the world of fashion and gives the sports, fashion and outdoor industry what it needs: new channels, platforms and business models.

In the 1,500 m2 curated area, Zeitgeist by ISPO offers you everything your sports fashion heart desires. Here you can discover up-and-coming design talents and established brands, get inspired, and make new contacts over drinks, music, and snacks.

The European Fashion Award FASH, aimed at fashion design students from all over Europe, will also be presented this year on the first ISPO day in the Zeitgeist area.

The Zeitgeist Area is the hotspot for creative talents and innovative thinkers, for craftsmanship and sustainability. Look forward to exciting projects and global collaborations and ring in a new era of fashion with us!

GameChanger SportsHub: From Technology to Gamification (Hall B1)

How will technology and gamification revolutionize the sports industry? What new sport will combine technology and competition? How will people be motivated to train and engage in our digital world? These questions will be answered at GameChanger SportsHub.

In four areas, providers of digital fitness applications, tech companies, sports clubs, foundations, sports brands and universities will meet with sports influencers, members of the ISPO Collaborators Club and representatives of the Millennial and GenZ generation to discuss future growth topics in sports:

  1. Learning: In workshops and on-stage presentations, experts will share their knowledge of the
    share with you their knowledge about the developments of gamification, AI, XR, gaming and their impact on sports. In addition, experiences will be shared on how society can become more active again and integrate sports into life.
  2. Experience: Technology companies give a glimpse into the future and reveal how wearables, sensors and data transfer capabilities will change it.
  3. Competition: Watch exergaming competitions and see for yourself how gamification rules and the gaming industry will impact the future of sports.
  4. Creating: Don’t miss the Hackathon! Here, participants will have the opportunity to share experiences and shape the future of sports with market players, athletes and GenZ.

Sustainability Hub in Partnership with VAUDE: Everything about sustainability (Hall A1)

Well-tried and up-to-date: Launched at ISPO Munich 2010, the Sustainability Hub will again be the hub for all sustainability-related topics in 2023. In the area sponsored by VAUDE, over 50 brands will present their projects and visions for a greener future.

The main topic this year: Circularity. In keeping with this, two exciting innovations await you here:

  1. An interactive Material Lab which deals with biobased materials
    materials. At this point, we will only reveal this much: It will be fluffy, algae-like, pineapple-like and much more! Come by and let us surprise you.
  2. A „Circular Experience”: This curated space offers you a unique opportunity to learn about the potential of mycelium, the basic structure of various fungi, as a raw material. Here you can learn and – literally – understand the entire life cycle of products made from mycelium.

Sports Travel Hub: Sports industry and tourism hand in hand (Hall A1)

The sports industry and tourism simply belong together. That’s why the new Sports Travel Hub sends you on an exciting journey, where the worlds of sports, travel and business create exciting and forward-looking synergies!

Whether brands or retailers in the sports industry, sports organizations such as clubs, sports venues and organizers of sports events, or professionals from the tourism sector such as sports hotels and resorts, travel agencies and agents, or destination management organizations: In the Sports Travel Hub, speakers from industry giants such as Strava, UTMB, UN Travel Association and Nadal Academy, among others, will share their knowledge in keynotes and roundtables over the three days of the trade fair and provide exciting insights into the trends and opportunities of this high-growth sector.

From business travel trends in sports to the hybridization of tourism services and sports marketing to sports and travel technology, the conference program on the Red Stage has everything you need to immerse yourself in the world of sports tourism.

One of the highlights is „Your Winter. Your Sport.” Here, former professional skiers Fritz Dopfer and Viktoria Rebensburg discuss the future of winter sports.

The Orange Stage is all about professional sports and their marketing, as well as running and recovery:

  1. 28.11.2023: „ISPO meets top sports”.
    Kick-off for two new events aimed at sports associations and other top sports organizations that will celebrate their premiere in 2024. The foundation stone for this will be laid at ISPO Munich 2023:
    The GLOBAL TRAINERS’ SUMMIT, which is aimed at decision-makers*, trainers* and coaches* in competitive sports across all sports on an international level, and SPORT MARKE MEDIEN, the platform for mediatization, marketing and communication of the sports ecosystem. The guests of the kick-off can actively participate in the conception of both events.
  2. 29.11.2023: RUNNER’S WORLD Symposium
    The RUNNER’S WORLD Symposium is aimed at the key-opinion leaders of the running world: sports retailers*, manufacturers* and business drivers. Expert presentations and analyses have a look at the latest developments and hottest trends in the running industry. This year, the symposium has once again been able to attract pioneering brands from the industry as partners, who will present their most exciting projects, innovations and exciting products. Already confirmed are: Adidas, Asics as well as Winqs Sports – running passion is pre-programmed!
