Now live: The event and media program of OutDoor by ISPO 2024

Trend talks, athlete interviews, awards, and product tests – the program of the largest outdoor trade fair OutDoor by ISPO offers a variety of highlights and is the central meeting point for the international outdoor community. From 03.06.-05.06.2024, the trade fairgrounds in Munich-Riem, alongside renowned brands such as VAUDE, Mammut, Deuter and LEKI, will feature interactive theme areas to try out, discover, network, and relax. With guided tours on the topics of innovation and sustainability, visitors can gain a comprehensive overview before discovering their personal highlights.

SELECTED HIGHLIGHTS

The Future of Outdoor: Trend Forecast in Sports/Outdoor by WGSN (Worth Global Style Network) provides a glimpse into the future. Jon Takao, WGSN Director of Sports & Outdoor, discusses the 100-year-old outdoor athlete of the future, his attitudes, and priorities, as well as the polarizing topics of eco-responsibility and consumption that are currently at the forefront of our discussions. Top athlete and writer Kimi Schreiber will also address this topic from an athlete’s perspective in her keynote „Sustainability in Trail Running – from the perspective of a professional runner”, discussing how the growing popularity of the sport and competitions can be lived out sustainably.

On the Green Stage, Michaela Kaniber, Bavarian Minister of State for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism, will be part of the panel discussion on the contentious topic of how leisure tourism aligns with nature conservation. Adding to the excitement is a panel discussion featuring mountaineer Stefan Glowacz, professional climber and human rights activist Nasim Eshqi, trail runner Kimi Schreiber, and fitness coach Chase Tucker. The latter also invites attendees to take a deep breath in his Breathing Session and reveals how personal performance can be improved while hiking, climbing, and skiing, as well as off the mountains – without needing to exert more effort. Joey Kelly’s adventurous stories on the Orange Stage will keep attendees on the edge of their seats.

SUSTAINABILITY IS THE FOCUS OF THE EOG STAGE

The European Outdoor Group (EOG) focuses its presentations entirely to the topic of sustainability. Bowie Miles explains the complexity and intricacies of ecological assessments, Giulio Piccin from Aku presents the „Impacto” study on the carbon footprint of outdoor footwear, and Elliot Bland from the Microfiber Consortium discusses the environmental impact of fiber fragmentation in textiles. On Tuesday morning, all visitors to OutDoor by ISPO are invited to the EOG Breakfast.
